Subject: RE: Best way to mark hydraulic hoses

Deere sells a couple of things to mark them. They sell a bundle of zip ties that comes with 8 ties that are 4 different colors, 2 ties of each color one of them is marked shows an extended cylinder and the other shows a retracted cyl. Part No AN235001 $9.99 for the bundle of 8.

The other is a plastic piece that holds 2 hoses together and it has also has a picture of a extended and retracted cyl. The piece has a small hole in it and then you buy a separate plug for it that is marked 1,2,3, or 4 so you know which number SCV it goes in. PN R76459 $1.35 ea and then the plugs are $1.15 ea PNs . R74242 for no 1, R74243 no 2, R74244 no 3 and R 74246 no 4. Either way you go it will cost $10 to do one piece of equipment which is more than any of the ideas above but I thought I would throw that out there. This is my first post so Im not sure how to post a pic but Ill try so you know what Im talking about.
