Subject: Re: headline on beans

All this hype of using Headline on soybeans and gaining a few bushels now might just bite us in the behinds in the future when Asian Rust is actually a yearly threat. When I started using Headline in wheat, the rep told us that Headline will not take long to become useless due to resistance if used too often in the same field year after year. In ten years, when roundup doesn't kill weeds in soybeans anymore and Headline doesn't kill Asian Rust then how easy will it to raise soybeans for a profit. Sorry this isn't a personal attact, I am just worried we are all abusing products too much and a national 5 bushel per acre yield increase will cause the price to drop even more then what the product cost per acre so we are no better off. I think farmers have shaved off every extra penny off of inputs so now it is time for consumer to pay fair market value on the table.
