Subject: crop conditions

Precip maps of western Il and a lot of Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska would lead one to believe that trendline yields would be unlikely in those areas. However, I have been fooled by such generalizations before. Thought I would go to the source and ask farmers from the WCB to report their conditions. Here in far east central Il conditions are very good with most corn already pollinated. There will be some replant corn that is going to need a long season to produce top yields and the beans have been slow to take off, but seem to be growing very well now. Are conditions good enough over the rest of the producing areas that we can't have another move up in corn even if we have some more heat and dry weather?
