Subject: As of 12:38 pm still no rain

Can't seem to get a rain. None so far this morning, even though there were storms to the north theat split and got over us and now are in the east. It either dries up before it gets here or starts up after its gone by.
NCIA, SCMN. The hills are dead - they will not produce anything. Certain varieties really look bad, others seem to be hanging in, SO FAR - not sure yet how the pollination went, will know more later. The last week of hot wind really took its toll. I can't imagine record yeilds from this area. Corn is really short and tasseled, beans have stopped growing, saw a field of sweetcorn that was only about 3-4 feet tall and all tasseled out.

Dug up some RW corn vs conventional - looks like RW corn next year.
