Nevada, Iowa
Around "these parts" I think the yield drag will consistently be 10 - 15 bu. Rarely will c on c yield with following beans, although not impossible. I recently heard an agronomist speak from Golden Harvest who stated that there was no difference between 2nd year corn and continuous corn as far as yield drag. Seems that I have heard a lot in the past few years that the drag would go away into the third year and beyond, now there seems to be evidence to the contrary. They had 15 years of data to back up the study.
