I've seen neighbors build lots of piles on plastic sheet. Pick it up with a vac.

I think the posts are far more important then whether it is 2" lumber or 1" ply. If the posts don't hold it isn't going to matter.

How high do you plan to make your side and end walls? 50x80 has the potential to hold more like 45,000 bu if the sides are of reasonable height. Our 42x 80 quonset holds about 26,000 with one end 6' and the other 8'
