| Bgunzy, Why do you need a grain cart? You can load directly into the container. Drop one off and pick up another. Would work nice for one-man shows. Deere has that patent. Similar concept is used by cotton farmers in the South.
Lenders, What you want is something called a side-lift intermodal trailer chassis. Drive alongside the container, pick it up with a pair of hydraulic arms and drop it onto the trailer deck. Common in rapidly developing 3rd world countries. They drive up alongside a railroad siding and pick an intermodal container off of a intermodal railcar and put it on their trailer - and take it to the job site and drop it off on the ground. Also fairly widely used in parts of the EU so a truck and its driver don't have to wait around for material to be unloaded and reloaded. The problem is that there is a big weight penalty. | |
