Subject: BIG auger

Pittsburg, Kansas

Having a BIG auger on the buggy is the key. If you only spend 3 or 4 minutes at the truck unloading two dumps isn't such a big deal. We nearly always catch both combines before unloading and unless the buggy is hauling a half mile out of a creek bottom field or for some other reason the truck is an unusually long way away our combines don't wait.

Open a field, one combine works outward one way, the other combine the opposite way. Catch one combine going one direction away from the truck, jump across catch the other back toward the truck, unload - repeat.

The bin extensions have helped on the 9610 - if we don't get the combine unloaded all the way before the end for some reason he can usually just fold back up and cut unless we have really long rows or very high yields. The big auger on the 9760 helps even more. Getting the cart out from under the combine quicker helps a lot.
