Lincoln, NE | Hyperspectral For Crop Sensing
Agriculture is entering a new age of hyperspectral sensing.
“Hyperspectral” - meaning "data-per-pixel" and many times outside of our visual spectrum.
Identifying and measuring crop stress well before the human eye sees it has obvious benefits for all growers.
For a large part, drones will be the delivery platform for this new technology.
Expect this technology to move forward fast. “Thermal” is but just one form of hyperspectral.
See this video on the EMS (electromagnetic spectrum) and imagine all the information in it - of which we can’t see and don’t use in crop production today. This is changing fast.
