Subject: RE: Mapping Tile Lines

Olivia, MN
Gray area here I believe... I have heard of a few companies flying over dairy lagoons and or livestock catching up on where and if these guys are in compliance of manure compliance... Flying over a town or populated area is not legal i believe to distribute imagery as a profit.. SO flying county ditches is an effort in my area as well to figure out water holding capacities and advancements to the current drainage system. I dont see any legality issues by needing a landowners consent.

My question to the landowner would be- What is his/her concern over the fact of flying over parts of their land to enhance the drainage/watershed infrastructure as their land is most likely utilizing a part of the drainage system in that area? At the end of the day it always seems to come back to $$$$ but what parts of the imagery or flying would they impose on? I am just curious as to what I am overlooking?
