Was talking to the guys in our RC club about your question and what they are saying is when you registered it said if you belong to a community-based organization like AMA you can fly by there rules if you don't belong to one you have to fly by FAA rules. If this is the right interpretation of what they mean if you belong to AMA you can fly FPV as they have no rules against flying FPV and members do it all the time like in drone racing. If you do fly FPV it would be good to have a spotter to watch for crop dusters or helicopters. Let me know what you find out from your app providers.
