Assuming completely still wind conditions... It is my opinion you save battery life by flying as fast as possible and taking advantage of the lift the body of the drone provides. It's a proven fact that it takes more power to hover than to fly, for that very reason. It then stands to reason that the faster you fly, the more lift you gain and the less energy is expended by the props to keep it in the air.
Best way to extend battery life while flying ?
