Lincoln, NE | I agree there's transitional lift.
HOWEVER
I can't prove it, but seldom is "full-speed" (in anything) the most efficient when conserving power/fuel.
An Inspire-1 throttles down to about 45% of full power to come home on auto RTH.
Like I said, I have no data on this - but I believe DJI did this for a reason which probably supports SOME energy consumption data.
You decide - just my opinion.
