Probably the Phantom3 Advanced is the best bang for buck.
The P3 Pro primary difference is ability to record 4K.
This is worth having if you can deal with the large files and 'better' computer to edit.

If playing with the video later is somewhat secondary or you have little experience with video editing, definitely stick with Advanced version. 
The video is still comparable to GoPro Hero3 but without the Fisheye look. Stills from both are the same - and rather good with a little tweak in photoshop or similar.

The cheaper Standard range will soon frustrate you as the wifi control will drop out far sooner than the P3A/P3P which use a more sophisticated link called Lightbridge.
