Chesley, Ontario
Hello, all;
I've been "lurking", but haven't had as much time to post the last while. With the lime and potash topic, I decided it was time to speak up!
We're wet enough here that harvest is stalled, but not as wet as along the Lake Erie shore. Wheat planting is going to suffer if we don't get a few days of dry weather soon, since we are past the optimum dates for our area.

Hay, you have some unique soils down there. With the high CEC, there is such a huge buffering capacity that just about everything is going to change in slow motion, if it changes at all. I suspect your clay will "fix" a bunch of K, and then release it slowly over time. This could be why soil tests don't mean as much as tissue tests on your fields!
