Kalona, IA | Thanks for all the thoughts so far,
I talked to a local mechanic today and he told me to crank over the engine without fuel and listen closely for any sounds of compression differences . We did that and I even put my ear up to the muffler and couldn't tell of any "wrong" sounds. Now I'm not saying that there really isn't any mechanical prob.s but then He said to crack each fuel line while idling, and see if any differences can be heard.
We did down by the pump 1st of all and found some slight differences . We then cracked 1 line at a time by the injectors and found 1 that definetly seemed to be the offender. It barely made a difference in the "mis-idle" . The funny thing is, it made much more difference in the idle at that same line when loosened down at the pump.
Now my ?? is , whats the best way to remove the injector? We loosened the "bracket" etc. but have not been able to remove the injector. Is there a special puller designed for them? Do they pull out straight up or do they unscrew?
Thanks a LOT!! | |
