| If you can figure out which patent or patents are the controlling patents on the seed you want to save, patent life used to be 17 years from the date the patent was issued but some years ago Congress changed that to 20 years from the date it was applied for.
Anyway, the Public Patent Foundation is challenging some of the patents Monsanto cites in its lawsuits against farmers.

I think it would be an excellent use of checkoff funds to figure out when controlling patents expire on patented seed so they get into the public domain the day they expire. | |
