Northern Indiana | Buddy of mine has an 806 he wants me to buy. He left it here this past summer and I have been useing it to mow hay, run auger etc. Not exactly what I want as it starts hard if you even mention the idea of cold weather. Needs a paintjob. has a few oil leaks, but nothing serious. Powerfull and uses little oil. ( 4700 hrs) I am not sure of what else to look for. TA is good, but could go out tomarrow who knows. The shift linkage has alot to be desired,but most tractors of that era have some fault there. tires OK,
Pretty square tractor for 30 or so years old. Nothing special.
But we just cant seem to come together on a price. He had it advertised in the local paper twice and couldnt get it sold. We are about 1500 dollars apart.
Or should I look for something different to do these chores. Probably wont see much fieldwork othor than haying and mabe spreading fertilizer,
