Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | We cleaned up an old farmstead last summer for a landlord. He’s in his 80’s. Had lived there at one time. His relatives homesteaded in a dugout the first year.
There wasn’t much left. The Landlord wanted it cleared out but hadn’t got to it. I think he was a little reluctant to let go because he said when we started that after today no one will know anyone ever lived here. It was kind of sad for him. |
