We tend to think of life in a linear fashion, beginnings and endings thus some of the sadness. It is not linear, it is a circle that never really ends.

Very true statement. I was putting up fence Saturday with a 15 year old neighbor kid. When I was young the parcel we were building fence on was part of the same block his parents house was on. I explained how before the guy is parents was so and so uncle then before him it was that guy’s grandparents. And how so in so grew up in the house me and my wife live in was where he grew up in and how when our crippled up 79 year old neighbor was a kid his bedroom is where our 2 year old daughter sleeps now. And before it was planted to a Christmas tree plantation who farmed it. By the end of my explanation I felt old. It’s amazing how much changes and how much stays the same.
