Subject: RE: Farmers about how hard they work

Iowa
A lot of the "work" of farming isnt hard work anymore, but when it's time to plant, spray, or cut beans there's no choice just like any other job you want to keep. The biggest difference is most farmers really enjoy what they do vs a lot of 40 hr guys who don't really care for their jobs. If you don't have live stock yeah there's time off but there's many weekends farmers are in the seat of something and others are at the lake or something else. Some people think if your self employed you can do whatever you want, which at certain times is true but when there's work to do what day it is or what time it is or whose party I'm going to miss doesn't matter. Id agree the labor part is the easiest part of farming, the mental is now the hard part.
