| You guys are nuts. Frankly, I like that the USPS is "inefficient." If it was run like a business, most of our little towns wouldn't have service at all, and what service we did have would be exponentially more expensive. Picking up 2 boxes of envelopes in BFE every day or even every week wouldn't even happen, or if it did, it would cost an arm and a leg. Urban routes are much more efficient due to volume and distance, so the people you love to hate in the big city would reap the benefit, while you are left paying the true cost of sending a Christmas card to Aunt Millie 5 states away. Then you would be complaining about that. For people who love to talk about the founding fathers' intent all the time, maybe you should read up on why George Washington and Ben Franklin were among the most ardent advocates for creating and maintaining a postal service. | |
