Martinsville, Ohio
To me, N is N. I use N to feed the crop and fill the farmers handling needs. Anhydrous is nearly gone here now due to safety and meth so we went to other forms long ago. 28 is number one, 32 number two, then AMS, then urea.

The main thing I can tell you is I get the most response when that tissue test says S to H. I have done hundreds of N plots and we are down to .5 to .7 lbs N per bu of corn on our best fields and under one pound on our highest demanding fields.

How long they have been in notill and soil type has a big impact on this demand.

The guy on dry vs liquid in another thread, I prefer the liquid for accuracy but theoretically you can do as well with urea if you get the job done right.

N is N. Some my better clients put 28 on with the planter and sidedress the NH4, they like the two different release types of N.

Don't forget your sulfur, AMS may be the best choice for you.
