Maximum actual N applied on wheat in April is 20#/acre and you will get a burn, wheat looks like it is dying big time. I use 15#/acre and get a light burn. 80% of N and all phosphate is put down preplant. Have noticed a consistant 15% increase in yields by top dressing liquid as opposed to putting all N down preplant.
