Audrain County, Missouri | When we were using dry in the spring, we would apply 75-80 lbs of N. We've been applying 20-40 lbs of dry N in the fall, depending on the P needs (using DAP). With the split shot in the spring, I aim for 40 lbs on the first pass and 30-40 on the second. Last year, we were unable to get the first one on, so just had UAP broodcast 75 lbs of liquid N and the wheat did well. It really seems beneficial to make a late pass, but I'm too nervous to let it all go until that time. Scared the weather won't cooperate. We haven't been using sulfur on wheat. | |
