SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
I did my maps the other day on the farm that was 80 acres of corn after beans fall applied N, some acres of fall applied N corn on corn and then the rest of the field corn on corn sidressed. The sidedressed corn on corn was 30 bu less than the fall applied N corn on corn!!!!! The fall N applied corn on corn was 10 bu less than the fall applied N corn after soybeans.
Like I said NO MORE SIDEDRESS FOR ME!!!That cost me 112$ a acre!!!!!!
I agree if I could get it on in march or early april I would opt for that , but I have to many acres ,not enough help and a VERY large seed business to take care of, all crunched into a months time in the spring. I opt for fall applied because it really fits my farming operation better. Spreads out the work load thats for sure. I can just dig and plant come spring.
