All you have to do is pay title work. However, all daughter needs to do is sign title to you, you then take car to dealership and use it to trade. You gift your car to daughter, you sign your title to her. She then goes to DMV to register car in her name, you will register new car in your name when you go to DMV to get plates.
Here all dealership does is send paperwork to DMV, you still have to go in and pay for plates. Also in you purchase out of state in Utah, Idaho requires you to take brand new car in to sheriff check VIN number. Yet if you buy brand new in Idaho, they don't check it. Kind of a way to softly force you to buy local in Idaho. If dealership does this paperwork they will want to charge you. Take them out of deal. |
