I'll sign up for Medicare and wait a few years for SS benefits.
Why?? Unless you live past 82 you are loosing money
That is 100% case by case dependent.
My wife was probably OK to draw at 62, she waited until 63.
I ran her information as well as my numbers through a program an advisor had: I was definitely better off waiting until full retirement age. Wasn't even close to being an option.
I'm not one to sit around worrying about the potential of an early death due to some unforeseen circumstances either.
