I guess it would come down to how badly you want that center/bulk fill. If that is the case you might end up going with option #3.

For a 12R 30" option #2 I suppose you could find a JD 1770NT planter that has the center fill boxes and swap things over, the HI units I had looked at a couple years ago looked very similar to JD row units and might not be too hard to swap.

I'm running a 1996 JD 1760, so has the ME2 units like the 7200 series but the frame seems to be much heavier built, could be extra beefy since it was built as a conservation (no-till) planter as well. Those frames might be able to be found as well but you won't be able to go the center fill route then.
