Depending on the switch model, the OP may need a 12VDC to 24VDC voltage step-up converter. Most of the DC-powered switches I've seen supply the voltage they're given, but maybe the Netonix have a step-up converter built in? I believe the Nanobeams are 24VDC devices and consume between 5 and 6 watts of power.
