Never in my life have I seen corned beef not from a brisket. Is that common in the pnw?
No, anything but a corned brisket is hard to find here and in other places in the USA where I have lived. I got corned round roast at the local Costco around St. Patrick's Day the last two years.
I have found the eye of the round corned a few times. My grandmother used to make her own corned beef when I was a kid and she did not use a brisket. |
