Does anyone have a recipe for macaroni and cheese that is not baked. The kids don’t like the baked kind but they would like homemade.thank you.

I make a small amount of bechamel, add choice (or what I have) of cheese to melt, and then pour over warm, drained noodles that I made concurrently.

The cheese sauce could be stored in frig for a couple days and used on another batch of Mac and cheese. The sauce is also a nice base for beer cheese dip, pretzel dip, or beer cheese soup.

Fyi. Bechamel is a basic milk, butter, flour sauce made in stovetop in 5 minutes. Very easy and utilitarian for home chef.
