Pittsburg, Kansas | Dr Benjamin Bikman is a hero as far as my diabetic mind thinks. Every diabetic, pre-diabetic or anyone who does not want to become diabetic should know and listen to him. His research specialty is insulin and insulin resistance. He is not a medical doctor, but instead a researcher. He is very much up on current research about diabetes.
This one, unlike Unwin, is technical by nature. But he explains things in non technical terms. This will not help her much as a day to day food roadmap, but it will help her understand what is happening to her body. That might give her encouragement to stay the course of defeating the diabetes monster. It is not hard, but it does take some effort and understanding.
