Subject: RE: Ferappease in feeder calves?

Eastern NE KS
I had a hard time buying that claim too except for it coming from the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. My local vet is a member. So I'm not sure what to think.

I'm going to assume the it is absorbed through the skin based on the website's instructions, "FerAppease is an oil-based product. It is recommended to apply FerAppease on a dry animal. It is best to allow FerAppease at least 20 minutes to absorb into the skin of the animal before getting wet". Not perfectly on point but speaks to skin absorption. And plan to try a test as I described earlier. I say try because I wish to use neighbor's calf purchases this March.

Discussion from AABP and their "Have You Herd?" podcast.
