If I could get 10-12 ton on wheat and 15 ton on late corn I’d be happy. Hopefully 20 ton on the full season corn this year. Hill ground but decent.
I think 7 to 10 ton on the wheat would be more realistic.
We try to chop in the milk/early dough stage for more tonnage. Chop it fine so it packs better. We were direct cutting so our yields were more like 5 to 7 ton.
May not be correct or the right way to do it, but the cattle sure seem to love it. |
