Leesburg, Ohio | ........"Little electric meter broke down we measured all 750 gal with the 5 gal. calibration jug and 2 1/2 gaL jugs"..........
Again...Why???
Yes, I have had meters go bad. No big deal. Valves are closed anyway when done metering. Meters are installed with Flange fittings...just pop the clamps, throw in another meter. No need to worry about the chem leaking out during repair. Most times its only the batteries needing replaced anyway, and you don't even have to open up the system to replace batteries, just the face of the meter.
And since we changed from standard Durameters to the green-faced Durameters with viton seals, so far after probably 4-5 years have never had another problem other than change batteries every other year.
Durameters are not very expensive. Keep a spare if you're that worried? Now the Banjo meters are another story...very pricey and very un-reliable imho. And Banjo meters will not meter anything mostly oil-based, like 2,4-D or crop oil.
