Used it many years ago in freestalls mixed with sawdust, it is high in heavy metals, around here particularly aluminum. In my opinion the stuff here is not good for the ground at all. it may have changed now but i kinda doubt it. I'd get an analysis on it before doing anything but i certainly wouldn't use it on a feed pad. I would agree it is great for the feet of the cattle. Have gone to quarry lime on my cow stand floors once a week and seems to dry their feet out, pretty much eradicated foot rot and seem to think it helps with hairy heel wart too.
