We were short almost nine inches for the 2023 crop season. There were some extremely spotty rains also. One farm has 3/4 mile rows, 270+ yield at the north end, down to a little over 100 at the south end. Could see the line across the rows when Y dropping. The good farms did fairly well, but any of the lighter ground had a tough year last year.
