Illinois | 1.5-2 bushels of oats to the acre. Put the alfalfa in the small seed box and if you’re using grass seed mix it with oats. 4 acres and the cost of alfalfa you can’t afford to be wrong so might want to find a book. We use a van Brant drill and drag a couple of sections of harrow to work in the alfalfa. Been doing it that way for like 70 years. I believe the manual even mentions pulling it with horses | |
