weve always done alfalfa in about august airflowed it on and used a cultimulcher on it ran 2 times after i was spread turns out fine, had to do once it didnt rain or sprouted it and it died. got 12 acres of it, ours was in wheat before we baled the straw off ran cultivator and crumbler over it 2 times then cultimuchled 1 time with teeth in then 2 times after seeding
