I'm not sure why people always recommend a separate tablet for this unless it's just to keep with the tractor for hired people. I've been using the Iowa Cors network with my regular android phone for the last 3 years (I've used two different models) and it seems to work fine. Phone has no problem being connected to both the Bluetooth radio to keep me entertained and the Parani for RTK corrections.
Reason is because a long time ago, the early 4g towers couldn't handle voice and data simultaneously. So the recommendation was to have dedicated device. |
