North Central Iowa | A dedicated modem is probably a good option in marginal mobile coverage areas. Don’t they sometimes have external antennas available? Not personally that familiar with them, just what I’ve read in passing on them. Just generally more expensive and as network changes take place, the modems tend to quit working; think all the 3G modems that are unusable now. Same thing happens to phones or tablets eventually too, but used ones are cheap and plentiful by the time the next mobile technology arrives and the carriers shut off the older networks. | |
