This was a problem over 40 years ago, and apparently nothing was ever done about it.
When the same soil was mixed thoroughly and sent to different labs, the results varied widely.
But that wasn't as bad as the lab that got caught making up results to save on lab costs.
Which lab is correct and what would you do?
