Kind of like the fallacy of breeding Holstein cows to angus will kill the beef market. It’s the same number of calvings, the only difference is that the Holstein crosses actually grow and grade. Last I checked, demand for choice plus and prime hasn’t slipped.
Cost of construction for starter homes, or older homes that can earn some sweat equity are hard to find anywhere.
As far as bankers are concerned— they finance profitability, the bet of inflation as an investment scheme is not normal for them to underwrite unless you can afford the carrying cost. | |
