What’s the best way to wash clothing covered in hydraulic oil?

A greasy spot or two I can deal with, but not the lingering smell. I've never had much luck getting the smell of hydraulic oil or diesel fuel out of saturated clothing.


Leaving them on the line for a week of sun, wind, and occasional rain seems to be very effective at eliminating any clothing orders.

That said, hydraulic oil is actually a good smell, in my opinion. The only two petroleum products that I dislike the smell of are gasoline and gear oil.
