What’s the best way to wash clothing covered in hydraulic oil?

I use a release agent like spray and wash. Then put in washing machine with soap, once it's full and starts washing I pour in a cup of ammonia into water. Clothes need to be fully covered in water before pouring it in. This sure works on weekly grease oil covered shop coveralls. Never used it on 100% covered soaked in oil. But I would give it a try.


I just dump ammonia in when I put my work clothes in and start the machine. It’s full in a minute or two. Never had an issue.
