| I got oiled up pretty well a couple weeks ago. Discussed IN ADVANCE with the wife about a course of action. We decided to go ahead and wash in the normal washer/dryer combo. Did it several times. Added some Dawn dishwasher liquid to the regular laundry soap. We rarely use scented fabric softener, or dryer sheets, but got some this time, and they helped the machines. Best thing for the clothes was to hang them out on a clothesline for 2 or three days. Kansas wind removed about all of the oily smell. While affected clothes were still on the line, I was still working on a dirty project, so came in pretty dirty each evening. Washed my own work clothes several times before my wife ever needed to do her own laundry. Several more cycles of "regular" dirty work clothes helped the machines a lot. Clothes and machines are pretty much back to normal now. showboat | |
