Subject: RE: Help please! 4630 hydraulic/transmission issue

Faunsdale, AL
If it’s twisted or bent, it might be best not to go for broke to get it out but I would say there’s nothing wrong with putting a heavy weight on it and clamp a visegrip or even drill a hole in it and pin a stop on the end and see if you can tap it out.

The one I was telling about that the differential pin worked out and hit it was so mangled it took a porta-power to get it out so tractor could be split to replace the hex socket in the flywheel. Since yours has come out that far, the tractor could be split if necessary. But it may not need to be. It’ll depend on what the end of the hex shaft looks like

It’s not awfully hard to just jack the rear of the cab up and there’s a tool to bolt onto the rockshaft cylinder in place of the head that will allow lifting the rock shaft off the rear housing of the tractor. That's if all the damage is to the pump and its manifold and/or the hex shaft. Better than having to take cab off I think.
