| I keep a beef for a guy in Boston every year. I take it to the local local plant when he is ready for it. He pays me on the hoof for which I weigh in at the local feed store. After the local locker plant works up his beef they take it to the airport and ship it to him. Not sure what that costs him but he said it is most efficient and economical way to do it. The product has always arrived in timely and perfect condition.
In the midwest we tend to take quality beef for granted. I bet it's difficult for folks on the east coast to buy beef like this at any price. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the reason Omaha Steaks can sell their products for the prices they do. Quality pays. | |
