Subject: RE: for me a complete non-issue,

Kittitas Co. Wa. State

Milk from a Holstein is milk from a holstein period. Milk from a Gurnsey is milk from a Gurnsey.

It matter's not one iota what the label on the container says, it is simply a brand marketing scheme.

All mainstream milk sold in grocery stores is the same.  Dairy's supply to the Company's who process the milk.  The milk is stripped of ALL the butterfat and at the prescribed USDA requirement is added back into the milk to meet the "whole milk" standard. All the remaining butterfat is used to make cheese, etc.

"In 1993, amid a storm of controversy, the FDA released its conclusions regarding the use of rbST in dairy cows. None of the studies performed detected any significant difference in the milk of cows which had been treated with the synthetic hormone versus those who had not. Even if the hormone was passed in higher concentrations in the milk, which it wasn’t, the FDA asserted that rbST would have no affect on humans. Therefore, the FDA did not require farmers using rbST to label their products."

The actual food quality difference between any "brand name" milk and store brand milk is zero.  Granted a "food processing facility"  may inject additional vitamin D or whatever as part of their marketing gimic, but the actual food quality is the same between any brand.

THE MOST LAUGHABLE PART OF MARKETING....  2% milk or Fat free milk is marketed at a higher price and people can't buy enough of it !!  LMAO !!   Pay more for a food altering company to put less butterfat back into the milk !!!   LOL what'll they think of next !!

So,, complete NON-issue for me.
